Pizza scrolls

Get into the rhythm of easy school lunches with these delicious pizza scrolls. Get the kids involved in their creation and customise fillings to change it up each week!

  • Dough
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 3 tsp active dry yeast
  • 3 Tbsp sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 75 grams butter, melted
  • Pizza filling
  • Pizza sauce
  • 1/2 palermo capsicum, diced
  • 50 grams sliced pepperoni
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • Grated cheese
  • Topping
  • Spray oil, for greasing muffin tray
  • 1 egg
  • Splash milk
  • Grated cheese


  1. Make your dough using the breadmaker. Add all dough ingredients to breadmaker and set to dough/knead & rest function. Press start.
  2. Flour surface and roll dough out into a large rectangle
  3. Spread pizza sauce across entire base, leaving a bit of space empty on one of the long edges
  4. Top with your favourite pizza toppings - we have used pepperoni, cheese, tomato, and palermo capsicum
  5. Starting with the end with no topping, roll up lengthways into a log
  6. Cut into 2cm segments, and push each segment into a greased muffin tray
  7. Cover with a tea towel and let sit for up to an hour in a warm place until dough rises
  8. Whisk egg & milk together, and brush on to pizza scrolls. Sprinkle with grated cheese
  9. Bake for 10-15 minutes at 200 degrees celsius until golden
