The Smartbox power cable connects directly to your car battery to provide continuous power to support the MiVue¿ Dash Cam parking mode feature after the engine has been turned off. It prevents your car battery from being completely drained of power when not in use and has an auto shut off feature based on preset time and/or if your car battery voltage drops below a certain rating.

In the instance that you are not connected via Wi-Fi to your smart phone, the event will store on the camera and upload automatically when you are next connected for back up or to share your experiences on social media via the MiVue Pro app.
Event Recording Mode: With the built-in 3-Axis G-Sensor; the MiVue can detect event recording in multiple ways:

¿ If it detects sudden changes in motion or an impact,
¿ Manually pressing the event button, the device will instantly save a protected video of the event for future analysis.
