What is a Product & Damage Protection Plan?
A Product & Damage Protection plan extends the manufacturer’s warranty on your item. Warranties typically protect against defects that occur during normal use — usually for 90 days to 2 years, though some last up to 5 years. Our plans kick off from day 1 and add even more protection.

How to Make a Claim
Check the product manual first - review the manufacturer’s product manual or instructions. These often identify common issues and may provide steps to resolve the problem quickly.
If your Covered item is still under Manufacturer’s Warranty - contact Noel Leeming directly. We’ll assist with remedying the fault under the Manufacturer’s Warranty terms.
If your Covered item is outside the Manufacturer’s Warranty but within the term of cover purchased and the issue is consistent with the Terms and Conditions of your policy as referenced on your purchase invoice - please lodge your claim online 24/7 at https://www.nlg.co.nz/servicePlanClaims/home.do or visit your nearest Noel Leeming store for assistance to log your claim. For any inquiries regarding your policy, call us on 0800 555 989 during business days, 9:00am -5:00pm (excluding public holidays). You’ll need your Tax Invoice number when submitting your claim.
Your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA) - at any time - before or after the Manufacturer’s Warranty expires - you can exercise your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 with both the manufacturer and Noel Leeming.

What is myTechSolution?
myTechSolution includes all the benefits of Product/ Damage Protection, plus delivery, installation, and ongoing learning and support.
You’ll also receive a $20 voucher every year on the anniversary of your purchase, for the life of your plan.
Is myTechSolution still available?
Yes. myTechSolution remains part of Noel Leeming Protection Plans.
What’s the difference between Product Protection and Damage Protection?
Product Protection includes lemon protection, price protection, automatic replacement on products under $1,000, and more.
Damage Protection includes everything in Product Protection plus accidental damage and theft cover.
What happens if my credit/debit card details change for my subscription?
You can update your payment details using the unique link in your subscription confirmation email.

Is there an excess for damage and theft claims?
Yes, excess is based on your product’s value:
Under $1,000 → $100
$1,001–$1,500 → $150
Over $1,501 → $200

You’ll need your Tax Invoice number. For theft claims, please have your police reference number ready.
When do I pay the excess for a damage claim?
You pay the excess in store when you hand over your broken product for assessment. This helps speed up approval for repairs or replacements.
When do I pay the excess for a theft claim?
You pay the excess in store after you have made the claim, once the claim has been approved, you will receive your replacement product.
Are there limits to how many times I can claim for damage or theft?
Yes, you can make up to two claims per year. Your excess amount won’t increase because of previous claims.
How long can I have an active subscription?
Subscriptions can remain active for a maximum of three years (36 months).
What happens if I miss a payment for my subscription?
We’ll attempt to take payment three times: 7, 5, and 3 days before your cover period ends.
If payment still fails on the final day, the subscription will cease.
Can I transfer my protection if I sell my product?
Yes, protection can be transferred with the product. Note: Subscription-based plans cannot be transferred.
How long can I take Protection for?
Product Protection
5 years for Whiteware
3 years for all other categories

Pay monthly for up to 3 years (36 months)
Pay upfront for 1, 2, or 3 years
Can I pay for Damage Protection weekly or yearly?
Currently, monthly is the only subscription payment option.
I’ve lost my product. Can I claim this under Protection?
No. Damage Protection does not cover loss—only accidental damage and theft.
What is Lemon Cover?
Lemon Cover protects you if you’ve purchased a faulty product. After three verified faults, we’ll replace your product with a brand new one—guaranteed.
If my product is replaced under Protection, does my cover continue?
Yes. Your cover continues if your product is repaired or replaced. If settled with a gift card, cover ends.
I didn’t take Protection when I purchased my product. Can I add it later?
Yes. You can add Product or Damage Protection within 30 days of purchase. A visual inspection in-store is required. If already damaged or stolen, Damage Protection cannot be added.
